The picture you are looking at is the historic Mia Bari Mosque in Barisal. This Mia house mosque is one of the notable historical monuments of Barisal. The ancient structure of Bangladesh built during the Mughal period is located at Karapur Mia House in Barisal.
The two-storied mosque has 6 doors below, the second floor has 3 doors, 3 domes, 8 big and 12 small minarets. This historic mosque is located in Miyabari Village, Barisal Upazila Navgram Road North Karapur.
According to historical sources, the founder of this mosque is Hayat Mahmud. He was exiled to Prince of Wales Island for rebelling against British rule and his zamindari of Burjug Umedpur was also confiscated.
There is a huge pond in front of the mosque. Which has caught the attention of tourists.
