The Dhaka Times Desk Popular singer Salma of Close-up One fame has recorded a new item song. Salma's new item song is 'Selfie Queen Kamala'.
According to media reports, this song titled 'Selfie Queen Kamala' of the film 'Thokar' directed by Mazhar Babu was recorded in a studio in Moghbazar of the capital last Wednesday evening.
The lyrics of the song are - Aam Dhar Dhari Na Karo / Facebook, Viber Emo is more / I take colorful selfies in the morning and evening / I am the selfie queen Kamala... This song is written by Limon Ahmed. Music directed by Waheed Shaheen.
In a response to the media, producer Mazhar Babu said that an item song was required for the film. Although I wanted to do a song with a different flavor. The song that the audience will easily identify as their own, will sing over and over again. From that idea 'Selfie Queen Kamala' has become really great.
Salma said about the song, 'Some time ago I sang in a movie called 'Sonabandhu'. Then there was no more singing. Now I am back by giving voice to the item song. I had a wonderful experience. There is a great combination of words, melody and music in this song. I also tried to make the song melodious with Darad. I think the song will be on everyone's lips.
