Recently, a news about Amitabh Raza's new film 'Rickshaw Girl' has been published in the world famous magazine Variety. The 22nd Busan International Film Festival is currently underway in South Korea. Amitabh Reza Chowdhury, who participated in the Busan platform program at this festival, spoke to 'Variety' there.
According to media reports, Variety magazine reported that 'Rickshaw Girl' is a film about women empowerment. The story is the story of Bangladeshi girl Naima. He drives a rickshaw in place of his ailing father as a man to earn some extra income for the family. However, Naima broke this rickshaw, which was very dear to her father, in an accident. After that Naima's new struggle to fix the rickshaw begins. He told Variety that the shooting of the film will start in March. However, he did not say anything about who is acting in the film.
Amitabh Reza told Variety, 'He is also a painter. He also tried painting rickshaws. The tradition and concept of rickshaw painting will be highlighted through pictures. I will also add animation to this film to make the whole thing more enjoyable.'
Amitabh Reza Chowdhury has chosen the story of Indian-American writer Mitali Perkins' juvenile literature 'Rickshaw Girl'. Sharbari Zohra Ahmed is writing the screenplay of the film based on the shadow of this novel.
