Much research has been done on the water source of this Zamzam well in Saudi Arabia. In the last sixties, under the rule of King Khaled, measures were taken to clean Zamzam wells with modern equipment. According to the information provided by the engineer Yahya Koshak, who is supervising this work, the water of Zamzam well is being sourced from the bottom of some large stones at a high speed. The word 'Bismillah' is carved in clear Arabic letters on the largest stone slab. At the time of Abdul Muttalib Alaihi Salam, the depth of the well was only 14 feet. It was re-excavated during the reign of Caliph Mamunur Rashid.
