Directed by Jasim Ahmed, the short film 'Daag' will premiere in the US today on November 3. This was confirmed by ShortsTV Network's website and producer sources. This TV channel is specially known as 'World Home of Short Movies'.
'Daag', set against the backdrop of the Liberation War, participated in the 70th Short Film Corner at the Cannes Film Festival in May this year. UK-based distribution company Shorts International got this television license from there.
Shatabdi Wadud, Sharmin Joha Shashi and Bakar Bakul have played the lead roles in the short film 'Daag'. The background music of the film is directed by Partha Barua.
It should be noted that a documentary film 'A Pair of Sandals' by director Jasim Ahmed about the Rohingyas who fled to Bangladesh from Arakan State in Myanmar is going to compete in the Naples Human Rights Film Festival in Italy. This film fair will be held in Naples, Italy from November 6 to 11.
