It is reported that Shakib Khan's lawyer Sheikh Sirajul Islam Siraj said that Apu Biswas married Shakib Khan after converting to Islam during the marriage. It was said that Apu would follow Muslim customs and remain a housewife. But Apu Biswas did not keep his word.

Shakib's lawyer also said, 'Recently, Apu Biswas left his one-year-old son Joy with his maid and locked the house from outside. As soon as he heard this news, Shakib Khan rushed to Apu Biswas' house. But could not rescue the child. Later, Shakib Khan made a general complaint for this incident at the concerned police station.
The lawyer also said, 'In these incidents, Shakib Khan decided to divorce Apu. On November 22, Apu Biswas's house in Dhaka, Bogra and Dhaka North City Corporation were registered and sent the divorce name in the form of an affidavit.
On the question of when the notice will be effective, Sirajul Islam said that if they think they will maintain their married life within ninety days as per the law, then it is a different matter. If no settlement is reached within ninety days, the notice will automatically become effective.
About the child's maintenance responsibility, he said, 'Shakib Khan gave 5 lakh rupees on his son's birthday to celebrate his birthday. Besides, he gives at least 3 lakh taka per month for the maintenance of his son.
Meanwhile, Shakib has admitted to sending the divorce papers. Shakib Khan also said that he will pay Tk 7 lakh to Apu for the wedding dowry.
