This decision was taken last month i.e. November 14 in a meeting of the Ministry of Information. This was stated in a circular signed by the Ministry's Deputy Secretary Parimal Sarkar.

It is said in the circular, "On the occasion of the great victory, it has been requested to show 4 films based on the Liberation War for 'free' among students and common people in all the cinema halls across the country including Dhaka on December 16." Name of picture 4 is also mentioned. These are Chazhi Nazrul Islam's 'Ora 11 Jan', Taukir Ahmed's 'Jaiyatra', Humayun Ahmed's 'Aguner Parashmani' and Nasir Uddin Yusuf's film 'Guerrilla'.

On November 26, under Secretary Parimal Sarkar's signature, Jazz Multimedia, the country's top production company, has been entrusted with the responsibility of presenting 4 films.
