On the occasion of the Great Victory Day, the Ministry of Information has requested to show pictures of the Liberation War in all the theaters of the country. This decision was taken last month i.e. November 14 in a meeting of the Ministry of Information. This was stated in a circular signed by the Ministry's Deputy Secretary Parimal Sarkar.
It is said in the circular, "On the occasion of the great victory, it has been requested to show 4 films based on the Liberation War for 'free' among students and common people in all the cinema halls across the country including Dhaka on December 16." Name of picture 4 is also mentioned. These are Chazhi Nazrul Islam's 'Ora 11 Jan', Taukir Ahmed's 'Jaiyatra', Humayun Ahmed's 'Aguner Parashmani' and Nasir Uddin Yusuf's film 'Guerrilla'.
On November 26, under Secretary Parimal Sarkar's signature, Jazz Multimedia, the country's top production company, has been entrusted with the responsibility of presenting 4 films.
In this regard, Abdul Aziz, the leader of the organization, said, 'We welcome this initiative to display the pictures of the Liberation War in the month of Victory. By showing the films for free, the young generation and students will be encouraged in the spirit of the Liberation War by seeing the films of the Liberation War.'
He also said, 'This year, no film based on the Liberation War is being released in the month of Victory. In that case, it is a very good initiative on the part of the government. In the halls where these films will be played, the films will be released for free.'
Iftekhar Ahmed Naushad, President of the Cinema Hall Owners Association, said, 'On the order of the Ministry, the theaters will be obliged to show any of the 4 movies based on the Liberation War in the morning show on December 16. The owners of all the halls in the country have been informed about this.

'Ora 11 Jan' is a movie released in 1972. Set against the backdrop of the Great Liberation War of 1971, this is the first post-independence film. Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman's call for independence on March 7, 1971 at the race course ground, the story of this film also shows some parts of that historic speech. The film is directed by famous director Chashi Nazrul Islam. A few freedom fighters also acted in this film. Among them were Khusrau, Murad, Helal and Nantu. Also, Razzak, Shabana, Nutan, Hasan Imam, Altaf, Nantu, Murad, Baby, Abu, Khalil and many others have acted in the main roles of the film.
