Aparna Sen is coming to Dhaka today

The Dhaka Times Desk Indian actress and director Aparna Sen is scheduled to arrive in Dhaka today, January 13. She is scheduled to participate in a seminar titled 'Women Filmmaker Conference' tomorrow, January 14, at Aulius Française.

Indian actress and director Aparna Sen is coming to Dhaka. The actress-producer will come to Dhaka today (January 13) to participate in the Dhaka International Film Festival. On January 14, she will participate in a seminar titled 'Women Filmmaker Conference' at Aulius Française.

Aparna Sen directed film 'Sonata' will be screened at Dhaka International Film Festival. The screening of the film will be held at the National Public Library Auditorium on Monday, January 15 at 5:30 PM.

It is known that Aparna acted with Shabana Azmi and Lillet Dube in the film 'Sonata'. The film is based on the story of three middle-aged women. This movie is based on the play 'Sonata' by Marathi writer Elkunchwar.

Dhaka International Film Festival 2018 started yesterday (Friday) on January 12. This festival will continue till January 20. The theme of this year's festival is 'Good film, good audience and good society'.

It is known that 214 movies from 63 countries will be screened in this year's festival in 5 auditoriums of Dhaka. These films will be screened in Asian films, retrospectives, Bangladesh panorama, cinema of the world, children's films, women filmmakers, short and independent films and spiritual cinema.

It should be noted that since 1992 Rainbow Film Society has been organizing the 'Dhaka International Film Festival'. This is the 16th edition of this festival.
