The Dhaka Times Desk Iran's Revolutionary Guards have launched a new short-range 'Bajra' missile developed with its own technology.
According to media reports, Iran's Revolutionary Guards have launched a short-range missile 'Bajra' made with its own technology. It is possible to hit any target located on the ground with this missile that can be deployed on the helicopter. The missile is named Azarakhsh in Persian which means thunderbolt. IRGC commander Major General Mohammad Ali Jafari unveiled the missile in Tehran last Wednesday.
It is known that this missile of 127-mm caliber weighs about 70 kg and its length is 3,096 mm.
This missile, which can be launched from the air to the ground or from the ground to the ground, is capable of hitting targets at a maximum distance of 10 kilometers by running at a speed of 550 meters per second. The new missile is equipped with a thermographic detector.
In recent years, Iran has made considerable progress in arms production and is largely self-sufficient. Iran has now joined the ranks of the world's leading countries, especially in the missile manufacturing industry.
Recently, Iran has been testing these weapons in various military exercises. However, Tehran has been saying from the beginning that these are being done not to threaten a neighboring country, but to strengthen the country's defense capabilities for self-defense.
