'Chhera Dwip' is the southernmost point on the map of Bangladesh

সেন্ট মার্টিন্স থেকে ছেঁড়া দ্বীপ প্রায় আট কিলোমিটার দক্ষিণে অবস্থিত। দ্বীপের প্রায় অর্ধেকই জোয়ারের সময় সমুদ্রের পানিতে ডুবে যায়। ২০০০ সালের দিকে এই দ্বীপটির সন্ধান পাওয়া যায়। মূলত সেন্ট মার্টিন্স থেকে ভাগ হয়ে যাওয়ার ফলে এই দ্বীপ টির নাম ছেড়া দ্বীপ।সেন্ট মার্টিন থেকে বিচ্ছিন্ন ১০০ থেকে ৫০০ বর্গমিটার আয়তনবিশিষ্ট কয়েকটি দ্বীপ রয়েছে, যেগুলোকে স্থানীয়ভাবে ‘ছেঁড়াদিয়া’ বা ‘সিরাদিয়া’ বলা হয়। নীল জলরাশির মাঝখানে বালু আর প্রবাল পাথরের তৈরি এই দ্বীপটি। বিশাল সাগরের মাঝে একটি ভাসমান বন। কাছে গেলেই দেখতে পাওয়া যায় প্রবাল পাথর এর বালুর ঢেউ এর খেলা।

From the only bridge on the way to St. Martins, you have to take a small boat to Chhenra Island. Tourists have to wait for the tide to go to Khera Island. Because if the sea is not at full tide, you cannot ride a boat there. The blue waters of the Bay of Bengal are captivating tourists. One after another the waves of the sea are crashing on the coral rocks. Again the waves come and clear the beach of the island. Everyone likes to walk on the glittering sand and enjoy the play of the waves of the Bay of Bengal while walking. Another interesting aspect of St. Martin is that at high tide, where the boat passes, two hours later, sand and coral rocks can be seen. If you don't get close, no one will think that I passed through this place two hours ago in a small boat.

During the winter, the island is visited by a large number of visiting birds. By doing this, the surrounding and natural beauty of the island increases manifold. Besides, Chhera Dwip is decorated with its unique decoration on moonlit night. On a moonlit night, any traveler's soul will be blown away by the unique beauty of Chhera Island. The fun of camping on full moon at the top of Chera Island is different.

Chera Island has more unique scenery. There are ocean waves and rows of coconut trees. Cheradawip is also home to various species of sea birds. Researchers have found here 182 species of animal diversity including 4 species of amphibians, 130 species of birds, 20 species of marine mammals located in this beautiful island. A 33,238-year-old coral fossil has been found on this island. There is a reservoir located in the northern part of the island. At high tide the reservoir is connected to the sea by a narrow channel at the western end.
এই এলাকাটি সরকারের ঘোষিত একটি ‘পরিবেশ-প্রতিবেশ সংকটাপন্ন এলাকা’। দক্ষিণের এই বিচ্ছিন্ন দ্বীপে রয়েছে প্রচুর প্রাকৃতিক পাথর। এরকম এলাকায় ব্যক্তিগত বা প্রাতিষ্ঠানিক মালিকানায় জমি কেনা, এমনকি কোনো প্রকার স্থাপনা নির্মাণ করা আইনত নিষিদ্ধ।

From Dhaka/Chittagong/Cox's Bazar to Teknaf by Bus. From Teknaf to Saint Martins by Ship. From Jetty of Saint Martins to Chhera Island by Trawler/Speed Boat. Then you can walk to Chhera Island from St. Martins during low tide (Chhera Island is best visited during low tide). And during the tide, you have to go by launch.
