The news of his death has been spread several times. But this time the death of this 76-year-old scientist has been confirmed by the family. He breathed his last early today (Wednesday). BBC news.

Professor Hawking's children Lucy, Robert and Tim said, 'We have lost our father. Wednesday morning was a great sadness for us. The work of the great scientist remained in the world. People will remember him for many years. There is no doubt that his wonderful personality and sense of humor have inspired many people around the world.'

Stephen Hawking's life is full of challenges

Hawking was born in Oxford, England. He was the eldest of four children born to Frank and Isobel Hawking. He had an insatiable interest in science and space since childhood. He studied physics at Oxford University College. Later, he started researching cosmology (the science of the universe) at Cambridge University.

In 1963, at the age of 21, Hawking was diagnosed with terminal motor neuron disease, a few days before his death. His doctors did not expect him to live more than two years. Everyone had doubts whether he would be able to complete his doctorate or not. However, overcoming all obstacles, he not only obtained his PhD, but has been working tirelessly to find the secrets of the universe. Meanwhile, the disease gradually spread throughout the body. Hawking became confined to a wheelchair. At one point speaking became difficult for Stephen Hawking. He lost his speech completely in 1985. After that, Stephen Hawking got his voice back through a special computer. Hawking met Jane Wilde shortly before he was diagnosed with motor neurone. They got married in 1965. The couple had 3 children before divorcing. Hawking married for the second time in 1995. He got divorced again in 2006.

Research by Stephen Hawking

After graduation, Stephen Hawking continued to work at Cambridge. He worked first as a Research Fellow and later as a Professional Fellow. Hawking was admitted to the Royal Society in 1974. In 1979 he was elected Lucasian Professor of Mathematics at Cambridge. Considered the most prestigious academic position in the world. The 2nd person in this same position was Sir Isaac Newton.

Stephen Hawking has studied the fundamental principles of physics throughout his career. Researched the basis on which the world is governed. Hawking suggests that since the universe is thought to have a beginning (the Big Bang), it is more likely that it also has an end. In a study with fellow cosmologist Roger Penrose, Hawking showed that Albert Einstein's theory of general relativity indicated that space and time began at the birth of the universe. It ends up in a black hole. This means that Einstein's theory and quantum theory have to be unified. Combining these two theories, Hawking explained, black holes are not actually completely silent. Instead they emit radioactivity. This is called 'Hawking radiation'. Hawking also said from his research that the universe has no boundaries.

Stephen Hawking has an outstanding ability to present the complexities of physics and space science to the common man in a very simple manner. That is why he became a very popular writer. Among the books written by him, the most popular is 'A Brief History of Time'.

Suffering from an incurable motor neurone disease, the greatest scientist of all time was physically confined to a wheel chair. However, this disease could not stop his mind and thinking power. Overcoming the fears of doctors and all obstacles, he found the secrets of the universe until the moment of his death. Hawking said about his illness, 'It would be a waste of time to be angry about this physical disability. You have to move forward with life. I didn't do too bad in that regard. People won't have time for you if you're always angry or complaining.' In this way he widened the path of life through reasoning.

Note that Stephen Hawking was born on January 8, 1942 in Oxfordshire. He studied at Oxford and Cambridge. Stephen Hawking has written many research books. This physicist has made the difficult subject of physics easy for common people. At various times his researches and various logical statements have enticed the people of the world.

He is considered to be the most talented physicist after Albert Einstein. Hawking's research on the mysteries of the universe, its size, from the Big Bang to black holes revolutionized space science.
