Recently, an annual report of the United Nations Sustainable Development Solutions Network (SDSN) revealed the happiness of the people of the Scandinavian country.

In contrast to Finland being at the top of the published list, the African country of Burundi is ranked last as the unhappiest country.

Bangladesh is ranked 115th in the list of 156 countries in that annual report. The important point is that the US economy has declined even as the economy has grown.

It is known that the SDSN organization is doing this list every year on the basis of several criteria like per capita income, social security, health and life expectancy, social freedom and level of corruption.

Finland tops the list with 7.63 points. Factors like social security, care for children, quality educational institutions and free medical care have boosted their points.

Briana Owens, who moved to Finland from the United States, told Reuters, "I joke to other Americans that the America we dream of is here in Finland!"

Following them in this year's list are Denmark, Iceland, Switzerland, Netherlands, Canada, New Zealand, Sweden and Australia.

The United States was in fourteenth place last year, this time it has dropped to eighteenth place, the United Kingdom is in 19th place in the list. China is ranked 86th.
