The Dhaka Times Desk There is no end to people's interest in Amazon. Various researches have been conducted at different times. Sensational information about people living in the Amazon!

Researchers have given a sensational information. Millions of people lived in the Amazon jungle, they said. Not only that, the researchers also think that there were at least one and a half thousand villages in that area!
Until now, it was said that two-thirds of the Amazon is unknown to people. But this new study says, not hundreds or thousands, but millions of people lived in the Amazon before Columbus discovered America.
According to researchers from Britain and Brazil, when Europeans did not reach the region before the 15th century, the Amazon was still inhabited on both sides of its main rivers.
After research, scientists now believe that at least 500,000 to 1,000,000 people lived in the Amazon during the pre-Columbian period.
One of the research team is a professor of archeology at Exeter University in the UK. According to Jonas Gregorio de Soza, the Amazon is generally believed to be beyond human reach. However, there are still many archaeological remains. These prove that the area was once inhabited by many people. There were at least one thousand to one and a half thousand villages in these areas. Moreover, more regions remain unexplored. Therefore, researchers believe that there will be evidence of human habitation.
