Not today, March 1, 1849. A girl was born in a rich and noble French family. The Monier family also named the daughter Blanche Monier after their surname. Monier's family was also well-known in the area for Madame Monier's philanthropy. He even received a community award for his generosity in recognition of his philanthropy. Apart from daughter Blanche Monier, he also had a son. Name Marcel Monier, he is a renowned lawyer by profession. Moniers had a happy family with one son and one daughter.
As beautiful as Blanche was as a child, as she grew up her figure seemed to grow in proportion. Her mother has no end of pride in her daughter's appearance. The girl was a young woman, 25 years old. Blanche brings the man she loves before her mother. However, his mother Monier refused to marry him as his family was not noble and reputable. Days go by, months go by, years go by. Blanche remains steadfast in her decision. Still, mother's arrogant-stubborn mind did not melt a bit. That is why his release does not match. In 1885, Blanche's lover died, yet she was locked up!
Meanwhile, Blanche's mother and brother are pretending in the society that they are very sad to lose Blanche! The domestic workers knew about this but were afraid to tell anyone because of the social influence of monies. 25 years passed like this!
25 years later in 1901, an anonymous letter reached the Attorney General of Paris. Who or what sent the letter is never known. In that letter it is written - Moni's family has kept a person trapped in their house for many years. Thinking about the social status of Moni's family, the General did not want to at first, but later ordered an investigation.
When the soldiers return after searching the house and find nothing, one of the soldiers smells a rotten bottle. Following the scent, they reached Chilekotha where they found a dark locked room. The room has only one closed small window, that too with thick curtains. Nothing was visible from outside. Being suspicious, the soldier broke the glass of the window. Then through the broken glass, the soldiers saw a woman shackled in a corner of the room! Seeing him, the soldiers broke the door and entered to see a horrible scene.
Blanche of Monier lies in a small bed surrounded by rotting food and billions of worms. During these 25 years he was completely isolated from outside light and air. And so the appearance has become wacky. He was immediately admitted to the hospital. At that time Blanche's weight was only 22 kg! However, Blanche could not erase the terrible memories of the past 25 years from her head. Due to which he has serious mental problems. He was admitted to a psychiatric hospital in France.
It is known that he spent the rest of his life in this hospital until his death in 1913. Blanche had to get this extreme punishment for the 'crime' of wanting to marry the man she loved.
What happened to Blanche's mother and her brother? After Blanche's rescue, her mother and brother were arrested. When mother fell ill, she got bail and came home. But by then everyone knew the story. After 15 days of Blanche's rescue, angry mobs of the area gathered in front of their house. Madame Monier died of a heart attack the same day. Too much pride and ego destroys an arranged family.
