According to media reports, the remains of the woman were recovered from the Connecticut River in New Hampshire, USA.
It is known that the owner of that car was a woman named Alberta Lyman who went missing in 1978. Alberta disappeared on July 25 of that year. At that time he was 63 years old. Police believe that the car has been underwater for decades. New Hampshire State Police said in a Facebook post that divers recovered the vehicle with the help of special equipment.
The police also said that the car was upside down under 14 feet of water. Half of the vehicle was said to be in the mud below the river.
