Today is the Great Independence Day. Independence was declared on this day in 1971. Bangabandhu, the undisputed leader of the Bengali nation, jumped into the war of independence at the call of the late Mujibur Rahman, including students, teachers and the general public.
Seven and a half million people of this country stood against the invading forces of Pakistan. Later we were able to achieve independent sovereign Bangladesh through 9 months long bloody war. Today we are proud to be a citizen of that Bangladesh. At the court of the world we got the map. As an independent sovereign state, Bangladesh is progressing in all fields. We have success in all fields of sports, economy. Although due to some political reasons we are still lagging behind. Still we are proud citizens of independent Bangladesh.
As a fearless citizen of Surya-Viriya, we stand and will stand tall in the court of the world today. No evil force can shake us so much. Being established as a prosperous nation is our only goal today.
