The Dhaka Times Desk Smartphone and tab fair is going on in Dhaka. Today is the last day of the fair. The three-day fair, which began on Thursday, was quite crowded.

The three-day fair started last Thursday at the Bangabandhu International Conference Center to provide an opportunity to buy as well as view smartphones and tablets of choice.

ICT State Minister Junaid Ahmed inaugurated the fair as the chief guest on Thursday. Khaledur Rahman Dewan, Executive Vice President of Robi Aziat's Corporate Strategy Department, Basis President Shamim Ahsan and dignitaries were present in the event. Smartphones and tablets are rapidly becoming popular among the general public as they provide voice and video calls as well as easy access to the internet.

Various companies including LG, Asus, Flora Limited, Acer, Lenovo, Aynol, Arcos, Gadget Gang 7, Kobi are exhibiting technology products in 10 pavilions and 8 stalls at the fair. Apart from selling smartphones and tablets at discounted prices, these companies are also offering various gifts. Besides showcasing the latest version of the Galaxy series 'Galaxy S5' at the fair, Samsung is also offering pre-booking facilities. This fair will end tonight.
