According to media sources, the Bangladesh Cricket Board gave the green signal on Thursday for Shakib to appeal against this punishment after 10 days of punishment. And after receiving this green signal, the all-rounder of the Bangladesh national team, Shakib Al Hasan, has appealed to the board to waive the punishment. He also apologized to everyone for his actions.

The board can reduce the punishment by considering the appeal made by Shakib. But what will happen still cannot be said for sure. However, Bangladesh Cricket Board Acting Chief Executive Officer Nizam Uddin Chowdhury told the media that the decision regarding Shakib may be made before Eid.

When asked whether the punishment will be reduced, he said, 'It is also the board's decision whether the punishment will be reduced or not. There is nothing more to say about this now. I have just forwarded his application to the appropriate authorities.'

However, according to various sources, the Bangladesh Cricket Board may be a little flexible about Shakib. He may be given some chance. And that's why Sabik appealed after getting the green signal. Only time will tell what actually happens to Shakib's fortunes.
