After 9 long years, Australia was supposed to visit Bangladesh to play a two-match Test series, but Australia postponed the tour citing security risks. However, after England's tour of Bangladesh, they changed their decision to play in Bangladesh. However, according to a reliable source, Australia is interested in visiting Bangladesh and playing ODIs instead of Tests.
According to the Bangladesh-Australia proposed schedule, the first Test in Chittagong is scheduled to start from August 27. After the Eid-ul-Azha break, the probable date for the start of the second Test at Dhaka's Mirpur Stadium is September 6. However, according to the pre-arranged schedule, the Australian cricket team will come to India to play five ODIs and a T20 series on October 23. Since they will only come to India to play ODIs, the Australian team wants to complete their preparations with Bangladesh.
