Recently, Google has added a new feature to their Wi-Fi network technology with which users can easily know how much internet is being consumed by each device under a Wi-Fi network.
Not only that, the internet speed of each device can also be measured through this new feature. Users will also know how close a device needs to be to the router to get a strong internet connection. Currently 18 devices can be connected to each Google WiFi network.
Alex King, Google's product manager, wrote in a blog post about this new feature that many devices are currently connected to WiFi networks. In this case it becomes very important to know that all the devices are getting the right level of connectivity or not. This advanced new version of our network verification technology will be rolled out to all Google WiFi users worldwide starting next week. To avail this service, the customer only needs to launch the Google WiFi app.
According to Google, this feature will also make it easier to pinpoint the exact problem when Wi-Fi coverage is low somewhere in the house. Then it will be easy to know which device to move the Google WiFi point to, so that the device can have a strong internet connection.
