Recently, a strange incident happened in Gangapur village of Patharpratima block of South 24 Parganas, India. This incident happened while collecting fish in the river, according to Indian news media. The name of the person who was eaten by the crocodile is Sharaeshwar Mandal (55).
According to the news, Sharaeshwar Mandal and his wife Pratima Devi went fishing in the river that day like every day. After collecting the fish for a while, Sharaeshwar asked his wife to release those fish into the pond. Pratima Devi leaves the fish pond and returns to find the crocodile dragging her husband away. The husband is fighting desperately with the crocodile to survive.
Immediately Pratima Devi called the villagers. But at that time the crocodile dragged Sharaeshwar Babu. Locals took a boat to rescue him.
But till the last news, there was no trace of him. Local villagers believe that the crocodile took him underwater and ate him.
