How to answer "Tell me about yourself" in a job interview

The Dhaka Times Desk Ever wondered what your answer would be if you were asked to “tell me something about yourself” on an interview board? Never assume that this is asking for your personal resume. That is, your parents, lineage, family status or local address etc.

Again, don't think that every topic described in your CV is asked step by step. There are many people who give such answers without understanding the matter. Remember that the answers to these questions will determine your chances of getting the job and the interviewer's satisfaction. Describe it in such a way that they understand that you are the right person for the position. In this case you can use a formula which is most effective and will help you easily present yourself correctly. The formula is,

“Present, Past and Future”

The formula has the present first. So first when you describe yourself tell about your current status after saying your name. That is, describe where you currently work and what your title or responsibilities are.

Past Now, describe all the successes you have achieved in the past. That is, in the post for which you have gone to interview for the job, describe your achievements in a good manner. Because it will show how your skills are.

Future, at the end of the formula is the future. So after describing your past, now describe your future. That is, try to explain why you are interested in this post. Because hidden in it are how much you are interested in this job and how responsible you can work.

For example: I am Sajib Ahmed. I am currently working as an Account Executive in Metro Health Center Limited. Where I manage the company's best performing clients. In the past I have worked on three major healthcare projects in a company and from there I got interested in healthcare issues. I am very impressed with your company's healthcare systems. So I want to take responsibility in this post and make the company achieve real success through my skills.
In this way you describe yourself according to the formula. Then the interviewers will think positively about you and you are more likely to get the job.
