The fire and smoke from the lower part of the building spread panic in the whole area. The fire was brought under control at 11 pm. At this time, thousands of eager people gathered around the university. It was believed that someone was trapped inside the building. University students and residents have complained that the university authorities did not inform the fire service immediately after the fire. There were no effective measures to avoid accidents. Fire service control room officer Mohammad Zaman told the media that they received information about the fire around 9:30 p.m. Eight units were quickly dispatched to the scene. It is known that basement 1 and 2 of the 10-storey building are used as car parking. At 8:30 PM, there was a generator explosion in Basement 2. It is believed that before that the fire started due to electrical disturbance.

Some students said that MBA classes of the university were going on at night. Many rushed out after the fire whistle.
