The Dhaka Times Desk Kuwait is the world's most lazy country! Most of the citizens of the country do not do any kind of exercise to keep their body healthy. This information has emerged in a study.
The World Health Organization recently conducted a study to find the world's laziest countries. The study was published in the Lancet Global Health journal. It is also known from that journal that Saudi Arabia is the third laziest country in the world.
The study revealed that the study was conducted on 1.9 million people in 168 countries. Research says that by 2016, nearly a quarter of people don't do the exercise they need to stay healthy. Due to which they are at risk of various diseases. These diseases include chronic diseases like diabetes and some cancers. Those who do at least 75 minutes of vigorous exercise twice a week, 150 minutes of moderate exercise, or a combination of the two are defined as active. All calculations show that Kuwait is the laziest country in the world. 67 percent of the Kuwaiti population does not exercise enough. Saudi Arabia is in the third position in terms of laziness. Among them is American Samoa.
Physically active or 'active' are those who exercise twice a week for at least 75 minutes of vigorous exercise, 150 minutes of moderate exercise, or a combination of the two. Check out the list of the 10 laziest countries and the number of people who are inactive (or lazy) in physical activity:
One. Kuwait - 67 percent
Two. American Samoa - 53.4 percent
Three. Saudi Arabia - 53 percent
Four. Iraq - 52 percent
Five. Brazil - 47 percent
Six. Costa Rica - 46.1 percent
Seven. Cyprus - 44.4 percent
Eight. Suriname - 44.4 percent
No. Colombia - 44 percent
Ten. Marshall Islands - 43.5 percent.
On the other hand, research has revealed that 33 percent of people in South Asia are lazy. Out of which men are 23.5 percent and women are 43 percent. This region includes Bangladesh, India, Pakistan, Nepal and Bhutan. Nepal is the most active country in the region while India is the most inactive.
