The Dhaka Times Desk Tamim Iqbal Khan returned home today (September 18) with an injury after playing one match in the Asia Cup. The plane carrying Tamim landed at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport at 5:20 pm on Tuesday with Emirates Airlines.

Tamim came to Dhaka first and started practicing after Eid. But on August 26, he injured his finger. After that, this left-handed batsman could not practice properly with the national team. However, despite being healthy enough to play, Tamim did not travel to the United Arab Emirates with the national team. Tamim was the last to go to Dubai due to visa complications. Although the team went on 9th, Tamim had to wait two days and leave the country on 11th September.
After that, Tamim Iqbal started playing in the opening match of Unimoney Asia Cup 2018 with a hand injury. However, there were more problems. Tamim won the toss and left the field after getting injured in the second over of the innings.
He was then taken to a local hospital to find out the nature of the injury as the pain was severe. The scan revealed a tear on Tamim's left wrist. After returning from the hospital to the field, Tamim fell to the wicket with the bat in one hand in the last ball of the 47th over at the risk of the team. He added a crucial 32 runs in the last wicket partnership with Mushfiqur.
However, it has already been confirmed that Tamim is not playing in the current Asia Cup due to injury. Even after that Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) took two days. Meanwhile, Tamim took refuge in another expert in Dubai. According to that report, the opener of the country will have to be out of the field for at least four weeks even if he does not undergo surgery. As a result, the Zimbabwe series will be missed.
