Everyone expects that everything should be done very quickly. But we don't have the capacity right now to deal with its long-term impact.'
Suu Kyi said, 'This problem is like a mountain to the world. But we are looking at Japan's help. Friendship of understanding is more necessary than actually helping. We are optimistic about Japan. We are hopeful that Japan will help and come forward to rebuild Myanmar's relationship with the world.
Regarding the two Reuters journalists who were sentenced, Suu Kyi said that the two journalists were convicted of violating the state secrets law. They went to investigate the crackdown.
