The Dhaka Times Desk If you want to go out of the country for any work including foreign travel, you must first have your passport. Without a passport you cannot go outside the country. Can't even enter the country again. Now the thing is if your passport is lost due to any reason then you will be in trouble.
Many people have lost their passports in our country due to pickpockets and thieves. Losing a passport is a serious matter. Let me clarify how serious it is. Suppose you lost your passport. Now your passport has been left behind by someone who commits a major crime. The next day the police will arrest you first as the number one accused of that crime. Today we will know what to do if you lose your passport and how to collect it again.
1. If you lose your passport first you need to GD at the nearest police station. By doing this GD you will be saved from any kind of fake case. But don't delay too much to do GD. GD as soon as possible for lost passport.
2. Now apply again for a new passport. Original copy of GD and photocopy of lost passport should be stapled and submitted to passport office along with attested copy of application. Many people do not keep enough photocopies of passports. In that case you will be in trouble. So keep several photocopies of the passport in advance.
3. If you need a passport on an urgent basis, then you need to deposit 6900 rupees to get the passport within 7 days of submitting the application. And if you want to get passport at normal time, you have to deposit 3450 rupees. In that case you will get passport within 21 days.
The passport fee can be deposited at Sonali Bank, Trust Bank, One Bank, Dhaka Bank, Bank Asia and Premier Bank.
If the passport is lost abroad, a GD should be submitted to the police station of the area where it was lost, and the GD copy should be contacted at the Bangladesh Embassy in that country. there
1. Photocopy of lost passport
2. Visa on arrival copy of lost passport
3. A few copies of the picture
4. GD copy and
5. An application must be made to the Minister Counselor for issuance of a travel permit in Form C ie a proof of the hotel you are staying at.
If everything goes well, the Minister Counselor will issue you a travel permit. You can travel using it just like a passport. But keep in mind that any important document must have a scan copy or image stored in Google Drive or One Drive. Then you can use them from anywhere in the world.
