Motorcyclists need a functional navigation tool instead of paper maps or touchscreen navigation. Looking at maps or navigation signals while on the road distracts the rider and is extremely dangerous. The benefits that fighter plane pilots have enjoyed so far using this type of device will soon be available to ordinary motorcyclists as well. This helmet will have a display on the front and the helmet will be slightly bigger than the normal helmet.

What are the benefits of this helmet?

• Two 3000 mah batteries are used for long performance
• Both hands will have contactless microphones for voice control on the go

• Light sensor to adjust image brightness according to lighting conditions
• There will be G sensor, gyroscope, digital compass for head movement tracking

By using its own minimal interface instead of the standard Android interface, the rider won't be able to play games or watch videos while on the road. Although modern sophisticated technology is making life easier due to its ubiquitous use, the Livemap helmet owner is going to experience the same kind of technology that we used to see in sci-fi movies.

The user interface is only essential and of very basic quality. Voice commands are very short and all commands will be understood naturally and contextually. For example, if the user is having trouble giving the correct command, just say help for the help command. The map can be viewed at any time by bringing the speed close to zero. Viewing maps at higher speeds is strictly prohibited for safety reasons. The weight of the helmet can be around 1.4 kg. There will be no need to download the map while on the road as the map will be pre-loaded and only need to be updated at regular intervals.

With the support of Moscow Department of Science, Industrial Policy and Enterprise, State Foundation for Assistance to Small Innovation Enterprises in Science and Technology of Russian Federation, Sokolkovo Foundation, prototypes of outer shell, electronic board, optics and software have been developed. The makers plan to market the helmet first in the US and Canada in the third installment in 2014. It plans to launch the fourth installment in Australia and the UK in 2014. The manufacturer plans to sell the helmet for $2000 but the $1500 will be available for pre-order as a donor to the Indiegogo campaign.
