We know Coca Cola bottle is red. Coca Cola's red label makes it easily recognizable anywhere. But why this beverage company used such red color or why they chose red color for their logo is a mystery!

Many have claimed that the red color came from the company's earliest advertisements. Where Santa Claus is seen wearing his familiar red and white outfit and holding a bottle of Coke.

On the other hand, a source of this company said that this logo was created before the introduction of Coca Cola as a brand, which is why it is going that way.

Not today, but more than 130 years ago. Coca Cola was originally sold in barrels in various American drug stores or pharmacies. Alcohol was also sold in the same system.

Alcohol was taxed in those days but cold drinks were not. Coca Cola used to paint their barrels red so that the excise or customs department could easily distinguish them from other barrels. The red color started from there.

This logo is not a specific red color, however. It is basically made of 3 different red colors. The Coca Cola logo that we see now was not like this forever.

The typography of the logo is called Spencerian. This Spencerian has been with the organization since 1900. Coco Cola was first created by John S. Pemberton, a pharmacist in Atlanta, USA.
