The Dhaka Times Desk ICC Five changes have been made to the game of cricket. These changes will be effective from October 1 this year.
- First change: Goodbye Champions Trophy
ICC Champions Trophy this year according to the decision of the ICC Board meeting The last arrangement is done. From now on, the ICC Champions Trophy officially became a part of cricket history. No more Champions Trophy from the front. Instead of the Champions Trophy, the ICC will organize the Test Championship. According to the ICC calendar, the first Test Championship will be held in June-July 2017.
- Second change: Change in no-ball review
In all out appeals that go to the TV umpire, the TV umpire will consider a waist-high ball in the case of a foul ball and a ball above the shoulder in the case of a bouncer as a no-ball.
- Third change: use of cricket stamp and sand LED light
The ICC has decided to use flash LED lights for the convenience of stamp and ball umpires in T20 and ODIs.
- Fourth change: T20 ranking
ICC members have also agreed to change the way T20 cricket rankings are determined.
- Fifth Amendment: Punishment for Ball Tampering
If the umpire feels that the ball has been tampered with, he will follow two steps, first he will warn the captain of the fielding team and replace the ball. After this, if an action is noticed by the umpire again, in this case the umpire will deduct 5 runs from the fielding team during their batting.
