This main mosque in Oman once owned the world's largest carpets and chandeliers. The name also appears in the Guinness World Book. They missed out on the feat after installing a larger carpet in the Sheikh Zayed Mosque in Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) in 2007 and the largest chandelier in the lobby of the Al Hatmi Building in Doha, Qatar in 2010.
