The rare diamond was discovered in the Diavik mine in the snow-covered northern part of Canada. Experts from 'Dominion Diamond Mines' and 'Rio Tinto' group extracted this diamond block from the mine. It is the largest diamond block ever found in Canadian history.

According to CNN, the yellow diamond that was found is a very high quality diamond. This is the seventh largest diamond of this century. It is one of the 30 largest diamonds in the world. Such diamonds are usually found in African mines. The new piece is nearly three times the size of the largest diamond previously found in a Canadian mine. Rio Tinto Group informed that an auction will be held soon to cut and polish the stone.

According to experts, this gold-like yellow-colored rare diamond can be said to be worthless in terms of value. The reason is that yellow colored stones (Type 2A) found in various mines in America have a white head. They are priced after giving some discount. However, no such concession would be necessary in the case of this particular diamond.

Shane Dargin, CEO of Dominion Diamond Mines and Rio Tinto Group, told the media that this diamond can be used as an ornament. However, Shane did not comment on the potential value of this diamond. He declined to comment immediately on what the estimated cost might be. According to him, the price of this diamond will depend on the nature of its body and the method by which it is cut after roughening. But there is no doubt that this price will be one of the best stones in the world, he said.

The last largest diamond was found in 1905 in Pretoria, South Africa. The 3106 carat Cullinan diamond was later used as an ornament. Two of them, The Great Star of Africa and the Lesser Star of Africa, are attached to the crown of the Queen of Britain. Over the past few years, due to various advances in technology, it has become much easier to find stones from inside the mine. There was no such thing as a harmful explosion in the mine that crushed the rock. That is why it is very convenient to find such large stones.
