Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina along with ministers-state ministers and deputy ministers took oath

The Dhaka Times Desk Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina along with ministers-state ministers and deputy ministers took oath. The journey of Sheikh Hasina's government started with this oath. He became the Prime Minister of the country for the fourth time.

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina took oath today (Monday) after being elected by a large margin in the 11th National Assembly elections. The new cabinet formed under his leadership also took oath. He took oath today (Monday) at 3.41 pm.

President Md. Durbar Hall of Bangabhavan. Abdul Hamid first administered the oath to Sheikh Hasina as the Prime Minister. Then the President will administer the oath to the Ministers, State Ministers and Deputy Ministers. After the swearing in, a notification will be issued by allocating office from the cabinet department.

According to the constitution, as soon as the new cabinet is sworn in, they are the new government of the country. The previous cabinet remained in place until the oath was taken. As the new cabinet was sworn in, the previous cabinet was automatically dissolved.

It should be noted that Awami League, the country's largest political party, won an absolute majority in the 11th National Parliament election held on December 30. The ruling Awami League won 256 out of 298 seats in the election. Grand Alliance got 288. Out of which, Jatiya Party has 22 seats, Jasad 3, Workers Party 3, Alternative Party 2, Tariqat Federation 1 and Bangladesh Jasdar 1 seat. On the other hand, BNP and Jatiya Oikya Front got only 7 seats. Independent candidates won 3 seats. All the newly elected MPs took oath except Jatiya Oikya Front MPs.
