The Dhaka Times Desk Dhaka after Cox's Bazar, Jahangirnagar University and Chittagong University Mirpur is within DOHS JOBIKE, a bicycle sharing service provider, started its first journey.
From last Saturday (January 5), the organization started its journey by providing official services at Dhaka's DOHS. You can use this bike at a very low cost. And you will get this service 24 hours a day.
How to use JOBIKE service:
1. For using Jobbike-
- First install Jobike apps from play store on this link click on
- After installation you need to register with a phone number by entering the apps.
- Now click on the SEND CODE button with the phone number.
- Now you will receive an SMS with a code on that number.
- Type that SMS code and click on the VERIFY button.
- Now you will see a button on the left side below your apps, click there to set your profile information.
- Then click on save button.
2. Now you need to recharge money to your Jobbike account from the specified sales point.
The sales points for money recharge within Mirpur DOHS are:
- Government House (South)
- Government House (Answer)
- DOHS Parishad Office (Near Central Mosque)
- Mirpur Opposite DOHS Shopping Complex
3. Jobbikes available at:
Jobbikes are usually available at the following parking points:
- MIRPUR DOHS IN FRONT OF CENTRAL MASJID
- DOHS Council
- In front of the female entrance of Masjid No. 3 (Brindavana).
- Sarkar Bari Garden Centre
- At the entrance to Lake Baikali
- At the entrance of Jyotsna Sarbar
- Opposite Mirpur DOHS Shopping Complex
Apart from these places, you can use this bike from wherever you see the parking condition within DOHS. Usually these bikes are always available in front of Mirpur DOHS Parishad or Central Mosque.
4. Now scroll down to enter the JoBike app SLIDE TO UNLOCK on writing JO Drag the text to the left. Then the scanner will turn on. Unlock the bike by scanning the QR code on the bike lock through Canner.
5. By unlocking the bike you can ride the bike within the Mirpur DOHS area as you wish. When you are done riding your bike, lock it by hand in any safe and visible place within DOHS, even in front of your house. (No need to use apps while locked)
How will it cost to ride this bike?
From the time you unlock the bike until you re-lock the bike, to your JobBike account 1 per minute as Rs Charges will be deducted. That means even if you leave the bike unlocked, the charge will still be deducted from your account. So lock the bike by hand after reaching the specified place.
Remember to use apps while data is on to unlock the bike only. However Locking should be done by hand only. During this time you will not need to have data on or use apps.
Jobbike employees are tracking the bikes all the time. Also DOHS security personnel are keeping a watch on all these bikes all the time. So there is no chance of the bike getting stolen or lost.
