The picture you are looking at is the historic Mia Bari Mosque in Karapur, Barisal. Built during the Mughal period, it is one of the oldest mosques in Bangladesh.
This mosque is located in Karapur of Barisal Sadar. The two-storied mosque has 6 doors below, 3 doors on the second floor, 3 domes, 8 big and 12 small minarets.
This mosque is a mosque built at the beginning of the British period in the greater Barisal region. This mosque is located in Miabari, adjacent to the Barisal-Karapur road in the west of the city.
The founder of this mosque is Hayat Mahmud. He was exiled to Prince of Wales Island for rebelling against British rule and his zamindari of Burjug Umedpur was also confiscated. After returning to the country after 16 years, he built this mosque with two ponds and two floors. According to the architecture of this mosque, it is modeled after Shaista Khan's Kartalab Khan Mosque in Old Dhaka.
