The Dhaka Times Desk On the occasion of the 99th birth anniversary of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, the President. Abdul Hamid and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina paid floral tributes at Bangabandhu's tomb at Tungipara in Gopalganj.
Today (Sunday) they came to Tungipara of Gopalganj and offered flowers at the tomb of the father of the nation.
At this time, they participated in Fateha reading and praying for the peace of the souls of other family members who were martyred by the assassin of August 15, 1975.
It is reported that Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will receive a replica of the Gopalganj district branding logo as a gift on the occasion of the birth anniversary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and National Children's Day-2019 at Bangabandhu Samadhi Soudh Complex in Tungipara from 10:30 am to 12:10 pm.
Earlier, Bangladesh Awami League today (Sunday) hoisted national and party flags at Bangabandhu Bhavan and nationwide party offices at 6:30 am on the occasion of the hundredth birthday of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. At 7 am, tributes were paid to the portrait of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman kept in the premises of Bangabandhu Bhavan.
