In the last two years, more than five hundred people have died due to this lightning.
Professor Tawhida Rashid, Head of Department of Meteorology, Dhaka University, told the media about the lightning, that there is a relationship between the increase in lightning and the increase in temperature.
What actually causes lightning?
In this regard, Professor Tawhida Rashid said, many scientists think that lightning is increasing due to the increase in global temperature. However, many scientists are not able to agree with this opinion.
He also said that we also think that the temperature may have increased due to climate change in Bangladesh and this has had some effect on our environment. The temperature has increased by 74 percent in Bangladesh.
Statistics of lightning deaths show that one-fourth of the world's lightning deaths occur in Bangladesh. This figure was mentioned in a report published in 2010 by the US National Lightning Safety Institute.
What do you do during lightning?
# Don't panic at all when lightning strikes. Keep a cool head. Because it is very important to keep a cool head at this time.
# If there are tall trees around you, move away from them.
# If lightning strikes suddenly while driving on the road, move to an area with a roof above.
# Tin roofs should be avoided if possible. Because tin or metal objects attract lightning.

# Do not stand near electricity poles, stay away from these electricity towers.
# It is better not to use mobile phones, tablets, laptops, computers, cordless phones, land phones during frequent lightning.
