The Dhaka Times Desk West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has said that India's Prime Minister Narendra Modi is suffering from 'Haratanka' due to the fear of losing the elections and therefore is turning upside down every day.
Mamata Banerjee made the remark while addressing an election rally in Panighata of Nadia district of West Bengal yesterday (Saturday).
Mamata said, 'You know, rabies is caused by the bite of a mad dog. His eyes are dry because he is afraid that Narendra Modi will lose. So suffering from Haratanka disease. That's why he's lost now. He is now suffering from Haratanka disease. And so every day they are going upside down.'
Mamata Banerjee said, 'BJP leaders have suffered. It is good to have courage but it is not good to have courage.' He targeted the Prime Minister and said, 'He says Mamata Banerjee has not done anything. I ask if Mamata Banerjee has not done anything then people will answer her. Tell me first what you did in Delhi in 5 years? Answer it first.
You have traveled abroad for 4.5 years out of 5 years. Football has been played by cutting off people's heads. Mass thrashing, killing of people in the name of cow protection, atrocities on minorities, atrocities on Dalits, tribals, common people.'
Referring to the National Register of Citizens (NRC) in Assam, Mamata Banerjee said, 'See in Assam, the names of 22 lakh Hindu Bengalis have been omitted. They are saying that they will do NRC in Bengal. I said first tackle Assam then look at Bengal. Tackle Delhi first, then look at Bengal.'
Mamata Banerjee said in a tone of sharp sarcasm, 'Delhi's chair is wobbly, BJP is wobbly, BJP cadres are walking around with mace and sword. In 5 years the unemployed did not get a job? You said about giving jobs to two crore unemployed people a year.'
Mamata Banerjee said to the BJP and the Prime Minister, 'Their tongues are full of lies. They are telling lies every day, slandering every day, torturing every day, terrorizing every day. Saying out loud that I am a Hindu, and everyone is left out. He is the only patriot and everyone else is left out. Earlier they said friend, now they say enemy. He alone is friend and all are enemies. This has become his condition.'
