The Dhaka Times Desk The 12th season of the World Cup 2019 officially opened with a grand event. England and South Africa will meet at The Oval today (Thursday).
The opening ceremony started yesterday (Wednesday) at 3:30 pm local time and 10 pm Bangladesh time at The Mall, the road between the city of Westminster in central London and Buckingham Palace. The program lasts for 1 hour. However, in various newspapers and magazines of the world, it is said to be a simple event.
Bangladesh's star cricketer Abdur Razzak and popular actress Jaya Ahsan were present at the opening ceremony. The representatives of each team were also given an opportunity to play a cricket match at the event.
