When there is a large influx of people, it is only natural that there will be piles of garbage. And so with the arrival of people, the amount of garbage thrown by them has also increased. After last month's garbage clean-up, waste has been removed from Everest this month as well. Recently, the Nepal Army said that 4,000 kg of garbage has been cleared from Everest. The Nepal Army, Tourism Board, Mountaineering Association of Nepal and Khumbu Pasang Lamu Rural Municipality are responsible for removing the garbage from Everest.
A spokesperson of the army Vigyan Dev Pandey told the media that this is the first time they have taken responsibility for removing garbage from the mountain. Everest's remaining 3,000 kg of waste will also be brought down by June.
Then they will carry out clear operations in other mountains. 12 Sherpas were responsible for cleaning the garbage up to the base camp of Everest. Then it was brought to Kathmandu by helicopter. It is also reported that waste recycling is being done through an organization.
