Al Ahsa is originally from the Eastern Arabian Peninsula. This is the largest oasis in the world, and it was once inhabited by people from the Neolithic era. There are 2.5 million palm trees, canals, walls, drainage lakes, historical buildings and many archaeological sites. UNESCO has cited it as an exceptional example of human connection with the environment.
