The scene you see is part of the ancient port city of Kalhat, Oman. At one time there was expansion of trade in this city. Now it is only a witness of time.
This walled city in eastern Oman was considered to be the busiest port in the 11th and 15th centuries. This port city has been specially mentioned by UNESCO as a 'unique archaeological monument' of the world's contacts with the Arabian East.
