Jaya's 'Kantha' to be remade in Malayalam

This film has already received a huge response in the other side of Bengal i.e. Kolkata. That's why Malayam directors have now come forward to remake it. He will remake this film. There will be no problem with the matter as there is an agreement in advance.

According to media reports, Malayali director Rajesh Nayar had bought the remake rights of 'Kantha' before its release. The title of this film will be 'Shabdam'. Jayashuriya will act in this film.

The film 'Kantha' is based on the ups and downs of the life of Bachik artiste (radio jockey). The film stars Jaya Ahsan as a speech therapist. On the other hand, Pauli Dam will be seen in the role of Shivprasad's wife in this film.

The story of this film is basically a touching story of a Bachik artist losing his voice due to incurable cancer and his struggle to get his voice back. Kaninika Bandyopadhyay, Biplab Dasgupta, Chitra Sen and other actors have also acted in various roles in the film.
