WhatsApp has announced that its service will no longer be available on Windows smartphones from January 1. However, they are going to stop supporting some old Android and iOS phones. WhatsApp is not available on smartphones running Android 2.3.4.5.6.7 or earlier. WhatsApp service will be stopped on these older versions of Android from 1 February 2020.
Similarly, WhatsApp support will no longer be available on smartphones with iOS 8 or older versions. That's why customers of smartphones running on 'iOS 8' device operating system will no longer get WhatsApp service from next year. In this case also WhatsApp service will be stopped from February 1.
But the new Android smartphones are all version 8 or 9. Apple's iPhone 4S now runs on iOS 9. So don't worry for those who are using it, your phone is probably missing from that list. So you will also get WhatsApp services. If in doubt, check the Android or iOS version of your phone.
