Sadek Molla has become a millionaire overnight with that ticket. The incident happened on January 2. Thousands of people are crowding to see him. Sales at local lottery shops have also increased manifold on this news.
According to a news of India's Anandabazar newspaper, Sadek Molla bought 5 Nagaland State Lottery tickets from Kathgola area of Dumdum on his way home last Thursday. Later go to the seller to know the lottery result. He heard that he did not get the award. After going to the ticket shop in Kashipur but not knowing the result, Sadek Molla threw the tickets in the dustbin and returned home.
The next day, the ticket seller informed him that Sadek Molla had won Tk 1 crore. On hearing this news, he frantically searched for the ticket thrown in the dustbin of Kashipur Bazar. Later Sadek found the tickets soaked in water. Screaming with joy, Sadek Molla rushed to the lottery authorities.
However, despite winning so much money, Sadek's family is not relieved. He feels insecure. However, he has been assured of security from Kashipur police station. The problem was, Sadek had no bank account. After learning about this, a state-owned bank authority in the area has made arrangements to open the account.
Sadek's wife Amena Begum told the media, 'I am raising three children in a world of poverty. I could not even educate my elder son Rajesh due to lack of money. Now Allah has turned to us. I will send my younger son Rakesh to a good school.'
Sadek Molla started distributing sweets and biryani among friends and acquaintances with the joy of winning money in lottery. Sadek Molla said in this regard, 'I have suffered a lot since childhood. I had many dreams. But I could never fulfill it due to lack of money. Although I have won a small amount of money a few times before by buying lottery tickets. I could not even imagine that I will ever get so much money - everything is God's will.'
