In a statement on Wednesday, Prince Harry and Meghan said they plan to split their time between the UK and North America. That is, they do not want to stay in the UK.
Harry and Meghan 'pushed the nuclear button' on their royal careers on Wednesday night by announcing they could no longer fulfill their future roles.
Neither the Queen nor Prince William were consulted before making this statement, and Buckingham Palace is also disappointed.
In their unexpected statement on Wednesday, the couple also said on their Instagram page that they took the decision after much deliberation.
"We have agreed to step down as senior members of the Royal Family and work towards becoming financially independent while continuing to support Her Majesty The Queen," they said in a statement.
It should be noted that on May 19, 2018, Prince Harry, the grandson of British Queen Elizabeth II, and Meghan Markle, the actress of the American TV series 'Suits', got married. Meghan Markle is three years older than 33-year-old Prince Harry.
