The weight of that tuna fish was 276 kg. Kiyoshi Kimura, head of Tokyo-based sushi restaurant chain Sushizanmai, bought the fish for 193.2 million yen at the auction. Which is 1.8 million in US dollars. On the other hand, the price of the fish has fallen to 15 crore 12 lakh in Bangladeshi taka. That is, he bought tuna fish for 7 lakh yen per kg.

This tuna fish is caught from the port of Oma in northeastern Japan. However, another giant tuna fish bigger than this was sold in the Japanese fish market in 2013 for Tk 22 crore. That is the record so far in terms of price. This year's 276 kg tuna fish reached close to that record.

The reason for such a high price is that the Japanese love tuna fish very much. And if it's bluefin tuna, then there's no question. Therefore, the demand for bluefin tuna in Japan is now high. That's why the restaurant businessman said that he bought this giant bluefin tuna fish at such a high price.
