His girlfriend is 60-year-old Indian rights activist and writer Noor Zaheer. Yabar Abbas is a British-based filmmaker and former BBC journalist. On the other hand, Noor Zahir is an Indian rights activist and writer. About the chemistry of love between them, Yabar Abbas said, the purpose of this marriage is to leave behind the fear of Corona. We both fell in love. It doesn't matter how old I am. He (Noor Zaheer) has just crossed 60 years of age. Yet this age gap is nothing to us. We are very happy to be united in marriage.
Their wedding date was fixed on March 27. However, the corona virus infection and the instructions given by the government in this regard have ruined their plans. In Britain, the number of infected and dead is increasing. In view of this, there are fears that the British government may move towards lockdown. In that case, they will not be able to get married on the scheduled date. Because of which all arrangements will fail. Yabar Abbas also thought about this matter.
Yabar Abbas said, when we learned that those above 70 years of age will be asked to self-isolate, we took a bus to the marriage registrar's office. I asked them if we have any alternative plans. But they could not show any alternative. They told us that once the isolation period starts, we will not be able to get married. Then we decided not to delay any more. We will get married now. In this situation, the option before them was to get married within an hour or get married the next morning. As we had so little time in front of us, I could not even call the guests. Moreover, it was not possible. So the next morning on March 17 we agreed to get married.
Yabar Abbas also said, of course, there was an alternative. And that is to call the marriage registrar to their residence and do the marriage registration. But to do that, you have to apply in advance. If such an application is to be submitted, the marriage will be delayed by another month. So 'we decide not to waste time'. That's why a wedding ceremony was organized on a small scale at their house the next day. Only 6 people joined the event as guests. The marriage was completed in that time.
Yabar Abbas's original home is in Lakshmout, Uttar Pradesh, India. He began his career as a British Army photographer during World War II. At that time he was posted in Myanmar. He was one of those who made a documentary on the surrender of Japan in 1945. He worked with the BBC Urdu Department at various times from 1950 to 2009.
The praise of his wife Noor Zaheer was heard in the mouth of Yabar Abbas. He is a fearless activist of protests against Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Abbas was proud of Noor Zaheer for engaging in such activities.
