The Dhaka Times Desk Princess Maria Teresa of Spain died of the deadly corona virus. A member of the French-born Bourbon Parma royal family, the princess was 86 years old at the time of her death.
This is the first time in the world that members of the royal family have died of corona. Princess Maria Teresa's death was announced on behalf of the family by her brother Prince Sixtus Henry. In an announcement issued on March 27, he said, "The Royal Family today announces through mourning that Princess Maria of Barbon Parma has passed away after contracting the Corona virus.
Maria was born in Paris in 1933 to Prince Javier and Madeleine de Bourbon. Maria was a member of the cadet branch of the current dynasty of the House of Bourbon in Spain.
Maria spent most of her adult life in Madrid. He also researched and wrote about Spanish political movements.
Maria had 6 siblings, 4 surviving - François, Cicely, Marie des Neiges and Prince Sixtus Henri. But Maria was a virgin.
