Germany's vaccine maker and regulator yesterday (Wednesday) gave the green light to the trial to German firm BioEntech and US drug maker Pfizer. If the joint efforts of these two organizations are successful, the world may get the much-discussed corona vaccine.
According to the German media Deutsche Welle, the vaccine will be initially applied to 200 healthy people between the ages of 18 and 55. This trial will start this month. If it is successful, the vaccine will be applied to the bodies of seriously ill corona patients.
The German Health Minister Jens Spahn said, 'Hopefully, we can start the trial of the corona virus vaccine. However, if the vaccine is successful in testing, it may take several months to reach the market.
On the other hand, the trial of a vaccine developed by researchers at Oxford University in the UK is starting today (Thursday). It remains to be seen which vaccine will be the first to cure the corona virus.
